*Greeter/Escort - Serves with the best attitudes! Greeters check in families using Kiddosafe Child Check-in System. Escorts make sure every guest has a personal guide to make their 1st visit safe, pleasant, and memorable.

*Preschool Group Leader - Helps create a safe and meaningful experience for our youngest children. Teaches three basic truths: God made me, God loves me, and Jesus wants to be my friend forever. Leaders consistently care for an assigned group of children and connect with families.

*Kidzlife Group Leader - Leads small group of elementary age children to engage in meaningful relationships. Facilitates discussion and activities to help children apply Biblical truth to everyday life.

*Special Focus One-On-One - Loves working with kids who have special needs. Becomes a special friend to these kids to make Sunday their BEST day of the week!

*Host - Comfortable speaking in front of children, serves as emcee during large group. Welcomes kids, communicates announcements, facilitates transitions, guides games, and introduces the Bible story. (Requires script memorization.) Background in drama or public speaking desirable.

*Storyteller - Communicates the Bible story in a creative, memorable and attention grabbing way. Memorization of key points to drive home “bottom line.” (Requires script memorization.) Background in drama or public speaking desirable.

*Worship Leader - Leads the entire room with the assistance of OUTLOUD (children’s worship teams) in a meaningful, expressive time of worship through music and movement. Background in music desirable.

*Tech Team - Provides audio, video, and computer graphic to support all environments. Assists in the weekly set-up of up of pro-presenter to make the service appealing to children. Strong computer skills and/or working knowledge of audio console are a plus.

Supplies/Activities - Prepares activities for Kidzlife group leaders to ensure the Kidzlife group leaders can focus on the lesson, not gathering supplies.

Kidz Praise Children's Choir
*Director - Leads an individual choir to plan large and small group activities using provided curriculum. Prepares and chooses songs that encourage kids to begin and grow their relationship with Christ. Meets with other directors throughout the year to provide a loving, nurturing, praise-making environment for the kids. Children’s Choir Ministry exists to lead children to use their gift of music to point back to God and give him the glory!
Times: Wednesdays from Sept.-May, 6:15-7:30 PM

*Worship Arts Group Leader - Leads small group musical activities: instruments, hymns, puppets, more! You don’t have to be musical to help lead kids to be examples of Christ.

Students
*Middle School Life Group Leader - Works in groups of 3 or more with specific groups that are broken up by grade and gender. Great middle school life group leaders all share one thing in common: they love students and deeply desire to see them fall in love with God.. Life groups are discussion based, curriculum reflects this. Life group leaders are less teachers and more facilitators as students learn what it means to follow Christ.
Times: Sundays 9-10:30 AM and Wednesday 6-8 PM

*CHURCH Cafe Worker - Supports mid-week middle school large group program, CHURCH, by selling snacks in the café. Great café workers love students and deeply desire to see them fall in love with God. Interact with students who need positive, caring adult influence in their lives.

*High School Life Group Leader - Facilitates Bible study with students on Sunday mornings, divided according to grade and gender. Leads students to grow in community through life groups on Sunday nights in individual homes, divided by grade. Worships with students on Thursday nights at the Realm. Great High School Life Group Leaders get excited about leading students to a deep understanding of who God is and how to live for him.
Times: Sundays 9-10:30 AM, 5:15-7:15 PM, Thursdays 7-8:30 PM

Sojourn Life Group Leader - Leads within teams of 2 or more within our Sojourn (18-25) life groups. Great Sojourn leaders share one thing in common: they love college-aged adults and deeply desire to see them fall in love with God. Groups are discussion based, leaders are facilitators more than teachers.

Camera Operators/Directors - If you have a great eye for capturing live events on camera, this is a great place to serve!

Video Creation Team - Work with a creative team to develop videos capturing stories for use in our worship services. People on this team need to be both creative and technical.

First Impressions
Parking Attendant - Assists visitors and members alike as their positive first impression. We make it our mission to make a good first impression ‘from the street to the seat'. They should be available to direct traffic outside on the parking lot.

Greeters - Welcomes members and visitors to the church, holds doors, and shake hands. Smiling people greet at the front and side doors. There are outdoor greeters who open doors and help people out of their cars and indoor greeters who help direct and say a friendly hello upon arrival.

Information Center Attendant - Monitors the information counter in the atrium during Sunday morning services. Their task is to offer information about the classes being offered using the lists that are posted, answer questions about ministries, and point people to classrooms.

Usher - Helps walk people to seats, offers them a bulletin, and gives a friendly greeting at the auditorium entrances. They also take offering. This important role completes the loop of making a good first impression from the ‘street to the seat’.

Prayer Group Member - Divides up into teams and takes an area of seats to pray over silently and cover our worship center in prayer. On Sunday mornings prior to the first service, we need prayer warriors to walk through the auditorium praying for our service, the pastor, and our church.

Care
*Stephen Minister - Stephen Ministry equips lay people to provide confidential, one-to-one care to individuals who are experiencing difficulties in their lives. A person must go through 50 hours of training to become a Stephen Minister.
Times: 2nd Sunday each month at 5 PM; once you receive a care receiver one hour per week

Missions
We Love St. Charles - WLSC is an ongoing, community development effort being implemented through our Life Groups and Bible Studies. The church-wide effort will include initiatives throughout the year such as Coats for Kids, but the main responsibility lays on individuals and families from our church. Our goal is that our Life Groups and Bible Studies would come alongside a few families and help them achieve long-term restoration and introduce them to Christ.
Times: Ongoing commitment of Life Groups and Bible Studies; times vary.

International Students Ministry - Serves the 850+ International students at Lindenwood University through transportation, housing, and monthly activities. We have ongoing needs to serve the students throughout the year, but the best way to get involved is through building relationships with the students. We hope to make disciples of the nations right here in St. Charles.

*Christian Activities Center - Provides activities and educational opportunities for underprivileged kids. The CAC is an after-school center in the Samuel Gompers Housing Projects, which provides a safe Christ-centered environment for kids in East St. Louis.

Carpenters for Christ - Serves our mission partnerships through building churches and serving locally through WLSC. This talented group takes one trip every year, and aligned with our church’s values we are expanding this ministry’s activities to also serve locally. Only requires people who are willing to learn and work hard.

Global Missions - Serves by assisting in the work of our church’s global mission partners to those who have no access to the Gospel through prayer, sending teams, ministry projects, and missionary support. We are committed to 5-7 short-term trips annually and also send long-term missionaries out through our Sent Missionary Training Program. We also have prayer events, Missions Life Groups, and Missions Conferences throughout the year.
