Stephen Ministry
Stephen Ministry is one of the ways that our church cares for people going through tough times. Stephen Ministers are men and women from our congregation who provide one-on-one caring ministry to people experiencing grief, divorce, loneliness, job loss, disappointment, hospitalization, and many other life difficulties.
Stephen Ministers complete a thorough interview process and spend many hours in training to be equipped to offer:
- Listening
- Feelings
- Confidentiality
- Providing Christian care
- Maintaining boundaries
- Ministering to people experiencing crisis
Once equipped, Stephen Ministers are prayerfully matched with people who are going through a stressful time or life difficulty. A Stephen Minister meets with you once a week for about an hour to listen, care, encourage, and pray. The Stephen Minister cares for you as a brother or sister in Christ, to listen when life is hard. It's really a life-changing ministry at a time you need it most.
