Where We Go (Ends of the Earth)

Romania
We have a strong ongoing partnership with Romanian Pastor Ion Vasile and the Marantha Baptist Church of Campina, Romania. Our annual short-term trips have been focused on taking the gospel into small villages in the largely unreached southern region of Romania. We proclaim the gospel through vacation Bible school and park evangelism, which furthers the church planting strategy of our partner. Romania is our model partnership and is great for a first-time mission trip, family mission trip, or a trip for those that need more comfortable facilities. This is our entry-level overseas mission trip.

East Asia
We have taken multiple teams to East Asia to work with college students and young adults. God is bringing a harvest of new believers in this exciting time of spiritual growth in East Asia. Our teams teach English in university classrooms, attend English Corners, play sports, and take the students out to eat. The students are eager to hear the gospel as it has been kept from them for so long. Our team develops relationships with a group of students and openly shares the gospel throughout the week. Many hear it for the first time and want to learn more about Jesus Christ. Due to security concerns, this is a mid-level overseas mission trip.

Indonesia
We took a vision trip to two different locations in Indonesia and had a great experience working among Muslims. There are numerous opportunities for teams including education, church planting, medical, homestays, leadership training, English as a second language, and work with the disabled. There are 196 million Muslims in Indonesia that are friendly, welcoming, and eager to hear the gospel for the first time. Because of the length of travel, this is a mid-level overseas mission trip.

India
We also took a vision trip to Central India where there are 70 million people who haven’t heard the name of Jesus and only 12 missionaries working among them. The primary strategy is to train Christians through simple, obedience-based workshops that can be taught to others. The training follows the parable of the sower and includes intentional evangelism, discipleship, church planting, and multiplication. As this trip requires leadership training skills, this is our high-level overseas mission trip.

10/40 Window
You may be wondering why our Ends of the Earth partners are all on the other side of the world. The modern missions movement has created an area called the 10/40 window which starts in West Africa and ends in East Asia running along the 10° and 40° lines of latitude. In this window, all of the major world religions have found their origin and are most active.

Over half of the world’s population (3.45 billion people) in 61 countries are found in this window. It is home to 95% of the world’s least-reached peoples and 80% of the world’s poorest peoples. Currently only 10% of the world’s missionaries serve in the 10/40 window.

We feel that our church has a responsibility to invest our time and resources in this neglected area of the world. Over the last year, we have taken multiple vision trips to find the best missionary partners in these unreached regions. We continue to identify these partners and commit to serve them for 4-8 years.
